Holiday Inspiration and a $160 Giveaway!

The holidays are the perfect time for bubbly drinks and amazing wine pairings. It is also the time of family gatherings and stress. These things don't always pair well.

What does pair well is creative friends and a Holiday giveaway!

Here are some of our favorite inspirations from this last year. Check below how you can enter to win a $160 Holiday gift card

INSPIRATION

We have been thinking alot about inspiration here at Women Who Wine alot over the past several weeks. One thing that has become very clear is that we are truly grateful for all of the people around us who inspire us on a regular basis. We don't have as much energy as we used to for those that suck the life right out of us. So, this year we are setting our New Years Resolution early and that is to surround ourselves with those people and activities that inspire us and let the rest go their way.

"Dear optimist, pessimist, and realist -- while you guys were busy arguing about the glass of wine, I drank it! Sincerely, the opportunist!" *

PINTEREST

Yes. When Pinterest first came out I thought there was no way that we can keep up with this but then we started pinning "Things to do with Corks" or as we call it "Put a Cork in It!". Then we started seeing those posts about things we saw on Pinterest and then how it really worked out when we tried to do that at home. Sure things don't always turn out the way we see them on Pinterest. Even still here are a few boards you should be following:

SURROUND YOURSELF WITH BRILLIANT FRIENDS

Every New Years Eve we fill up a lovely Flute with our favorite Champagne and think about our New Year's Resolutions for the next year. As you know we are setting our New Years Resolution early: To surround yourself with brilliant friends.

I am not a great or creative cook but I have friends who are. These friends are not only brilliant and creative cooks but they are able to take pictures of their creations and actually make them look appetizing (that's not easy to do)

WHAT YOU CAN DO

During the holidays it is super important to remember that we can't do it all. For some reason we often try to do everything we do on any regular month and then we pile on holiday projects and expectations on top of that.

Now that the holidays get going in full swing look at your schedule and create some reasonable expectations for getting out holiday cards, wrapping gifts, attending parties, decorating the house and EVERYTHING else.

Take a minute and think about one of your very good friends. Imagine they are over at your house and they just told you THE perfect thing that made you feel great about yourself. What would they say regardless of whether or not you got everything on your list done. What would they say regardless of whether or not your ugly sweater wasn't really that ugly but not quite cute enough to swing that way. THEN be THAT person. Give yourself the gift of being the friend you would want for yourself this holiday. Would that friend stress over burned meatballs or would they help you pour a glass of Prosecco and share a laugh.

Be inspired this holiday and remember to take the opportunity to inspire. One of the best gifts you can give is the gift of inspiration. ( The best part of that gift is that you may not even ever know who you give it to )

Happy Holidays!
